A STUDENT-ADVOCACY PROGRAM!
Starting this Fall, students at Cheney High School will begin their participation in "Homeroom" that will purposefully connect students with a teacher mentor during all four years of their High School journey. Students will meet with their mentor-teacher every Friday for 15 minutes. The student-advocacy groups are organized by grade level, and teachers will move-up with their advocacy groups each year until their students graduate from Cheney High School.
Homeroom is also a way to keep students connected to the school. Upcoming events and class activities will be communicated during this time.
Attendance during homeroom is mandetory as it is a scheduled portion of the school day.
