Interviews 2016

The C.A.P.S.T.O.N.E. and FOUNDATIONS students have been preparing hard for the working world! Each student has maintained a portfolio for more than a year containing job applications, a current resume, photos, personal and educational achievements and a lot of hard work. Many of the students have on the job training, food handling permits and the willingness to give 120%

One of the activities the students did in order to be well prepared, was participate in mock interviews. Each student presented at at least 4 interviews and were given oral and written feedback on their performance. The Leadership Team was responsible for interviewing the students. They were professional and courteous. A great time was had by all.

During the interview sessions the students were given feedback on the following attributes: listening, eye contact, communication style, attitude, professional responses and appearance. They were each asked a series of 11 questions, were scored and given written comments and suggestions. Some of the questions asked were:
  • Tell me about yourself (strengths, weaknesses, things you are good at).
  • How do you want to improve yourself over the next year?
  • How do you handle working with others who annoy or upset you?

After participating in this skilled activity - we would like to hire all of them! Looking for a skilled and quality employee? Look no further - CHS has them!
