On behalf of the CHS Blackhawk Band Parent Booster (BBPB), we are excited to announce our 2nd annual CHS BBPB Community Day, on September 21, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Cheney High School. Our hope is that this day will provide Cheney School District families and the surrounding communities the opportunity to gather, have fun, and support one another as well as the band and color guard programs at Cheney High School. Join us for a free Marketplace with over 44 local vendors and counting participating. The day will also include a school carnival with games, prizes, and an obstacle course bouncy house. Wristbands are available for purchase for $7 per wristband or 4 for $25 and are good for unlimited plays. Food items, snacks, as well as delicious treats from Surge Coffee Truck, High Voltage Creamery Ice Cream Truck, Pappy's Catering & Concessions, Kettle Krazy Kettle Corn, CBBC Concessions, and more will be available throughout the day. Our AMAZING CHS band staff as well as other CSD community members, including Superintendent Dr. Ferney, are participating in a Community Day Dunk Tank to help raise money for the band. Raffle tickets ($2 per entry) will be available for a 50/50 cash drawing, must be 18 or older to participate and present to win. Additional community demonstrations and activities will take place throughout the day as well including K9 demonstrations by Spokane Police Department and Fire District 10. To top it all off our CHS Marching Band will premier their 2024 Marching Band Show entitled "Electric Sunrise" at 3:00 pm at Oswald Field.
